Indian coronavirus tally dips to 60,000 mark:- The second wave of coronavirus is slowly coming down after the strict implementation of lockdown across all the states and the borders. After reaching the peak of 4 lakh cases per day in May, the daily tally came down to 60,000 mark. A total number of 60,471 cases are reported in the country in the last 24 hours in India taking the total tally of cases to 2,95,70,881. This is the lowest tally in the last 75 days. The recoveries continued to be higher than the reported cases. A total number of 1,17,525 people got discharged in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries reached 2,82,80,472. The death rate is slowly declining and 2726 new deaths are reported in India.

The total death tally in India is at 3,77,031 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry and the total number of active cases for coronavirus in the country are said to be 9,13,378. The total number of Indians who took up the vaccination shot for coronavirus are said to be 25,90,44,072. The Indian recovery rate climbed to 95.64 percent and the weekly positivity rate dropped to less than 5 percent and it stands at 4.39 percent. The daily positivity rate stands at 3.45 percent as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. Serum Institute of India will soon manufacture Novavax and the efficacy rate of the vaccine is said to be 90.4 percent. Novavax got authorization in the USA and SII will manufacture it in India.

As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the samples that are tested on June 14th in the country are said to be 17,51,358 and the samples that are tested till date are said to be 38,13,75,984.
