TRS flooded with Donations:- Telangana's ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is flooded with donations and the party received Rs 89.55 crores in donations from individuals and corporates, NRIs in 2019-20 as per the annual funding report that is submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI). No other regional party in the Telugu states received such donations in the recent times. YSRCP, the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh received donations of Rs 8.92 crores and TDP received Rs 2.60 crores for the year. All Indian Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) received Rs 13.85 lakhs through donations. TRS has been accepting donations starting from Rs 20,000 and 41 individuals donated which is Rs 39.92 lakh. Several corporates donated Rs 89.15 crores through electoral bonds and made the total reach Rs 89.55 crores.

The party did not disclose about the other donations that reached the party. TRS President KTR donated Rs 2.5 lakh for the party and several individuals donated between Rs 20,000 and Rs 2 lakhs. For YSRCP, the highest donation was Rs 2.5 crores that came from a corporate. TDP received the highest donation of Rs 1 crore from Triumph Electoral Trust and Vemuri Balaram donated Rs 80 lakhs. AIMIM received donations of Rs 3 lakhs each from four individuals. TRS is leading the list of donations as the party fought for the separate state. The sentiment of Telangana state is working well for TRS. The state also witnessed several new investments and is racing ahead in the development.
