1,34,154 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 1,34,154 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total reached 2,84,41,986. With 2,11,499 new discharges in the last one day, the total number of discharges in India reached 2,63,90,584. 2887 new deaths are reported in India in the last one day taking the total death tally to reach 3,37,989. There are 17,13,413 active cases of coronavirus in India as per the reports coming from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of Indians who took up the vaccination shot for coronavirus reached 22,10,43,693.

The daily positivity rate in the country dropped to 6.21 percent. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested for coronavirus yesterday are said to be 21,59,873 and the samples tested in the country in total are said to be 35,37,82,648. The weekly positive rate declined to 7.66 percent The Serum Institute of India (SII) has applied to the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to manufacture Sputnik V in the country. Tamil Nadu is on the top with more than 25,000 new infections reported in the state in the last 24 hours. The Uttar Pradesh government canceled the 12th class examinations in the state because of the pandemic. Delhi reported 1044 cases of black fungus till date and 92 people got recovered. 89 deaths are reported in the national capital due to the black fungus.
