Telangana in plans to extend Lockdown:- The Telangana government is working hard to bring the new cases to a control and prevent the further spread of coronavirus. The state imposed lockdown for a week and extended it till the end of this month. There are strong rumors all over that the lockdown will get extended till June 7th with just four hours of relaxation. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will conduct a review meeting on May 28th after which the final call would be taken about the same. The Health Department of Telangana submitted a report to the Chief Minister recently and it sought an extension in the lockdown. The government has been imposing lockdown strictly after 10 AM till 6 AM in the morning.

The Health Department said that the lockdown brought down the new number of coronavirus cases and also prevented the spread. After the arrival of the second wave of coronavirus, the government of Telangana imposed night curfew from April 20th from 8 PM to 7 AM. Soon a complete lockdown with relaxations for four hours is imposed from May 12th which is extended till May 30th. The Health Department says that the number of positive cases came down significantly. The second dose of coronavirus vaccination program was halted in the state from May 15th after the vaccinations were unavailable. Now the drive resumes today and KCR instructed the officials to vaccinate all those who took their first dose in the government vaccination centres. Telangana Minister Harish Rao is personally monitoring the vaccination drive in the state.
