2,57,299 new cases reported for Coronavirus in India:- A total number of 2,57,299 new cases for coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of cases reach 2,62,89,290. The total number of people who recovered from coronavirus reached 2,30,70,365. The number of new discharges continued to be high and 3,57,630 got discharged in the country as per the reports from the Union Home Ministry. 4194 new deaths are reported in India in the last 24 hours taking the total death tally to reach 2,95,525. The number of active cases for coronavirus in India are at 29,23,400 and the total number of people who took up the vaccination for coronavirus are 19,33,72,819.

There are number of black fungus and white fungus cases reported in the country from the past one week. The black fungus is declared as an epidemic in nine Indian states for now. The Indian government asked the social media platforms to remove the content that mentions 'Indian variant' of coronavirus. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that Indian can vaccinate all the adult population by the end of this year. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the samples tested in the country in the last 24 hours are 20,66,285 and the samples tested in total are 32,64,84,155.
