US to restrict travel from India from May 4th:- With the sudden rise in the daily tally of the number of coronavirus vases, several countries have imposed a ban on the international flights and passengers coming from India. Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America issued a proclamation about restriction travel from India to the United States of America. All the non-citizens who are in India from the past 14 days will not be allowed to the USA for now. The rule comes into effect from May 4th and this is issued due to the heavy caseloads of coronavirus reported in India from the past few weeks. USA says that there are multiple variants of coronavirus spread across India. All the USA nationals along with those with green cards and non-citizen spouses and the children below the age of 21 who are residing in the USA are exempted from the announced restrictions.

All the new travel restrictions are now imposed for an indefinite period and they would be revised considering the situations. "I have determined that it is in the interests of the United States to take action to restrict and suspend the entry into the United States, as nonimmigrants, of non-citizens of the United States who were physically present within the Republic of India during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States," told Biden in an official statement.

The decision was taken by the President after the recommendation of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), within the Department of Health and Human Services. India is named to be currently in the worst phase of coronavirus currently.  The World Health Organization reported India has more than 1,83,75,000 cases of coronavirus in the country.
