2.73 lakh new Coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 2,73,810 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 1619 people passed away yesterday in India. The total number of active cases in the country climbed to 19,29,329. The total number of cases reached 1,50,61,919 and the total number of recoveries reached 1,29,53,821. Maharashtra declared Goa, Delhi, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Gujarat as the sensitive origins. All the people traveling from these states should carry a negative RT PCR report. All these will have to be stamped and will have to stay under home quarantine for 15 days. The government announced charges of Rs 1000 in case of violation. With the huge rise in the number of cases, all the states are expected to impose more curbs along with weekend curfews.
Delhi reported 25,462 new cases along with 161 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the country reached 29.74 percent. The total number of coronavirus deaths in the country rose to 1,78,769. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total number of samples tested in the country in the last 24 hours are 13,56,133 and the total samples tested till date are 26,78,94,549. This is the fifth straight day, the country reported more than 2 lakh cases in the country. There is a huge scarcity for beds all over and pathetic situations are registered all over. Several patients are in waiting mode and patients have been spotted struggling for beds and oxygen. Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka are the states that reported huge number of cases in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra reported 68,631 new infections in the state. The worldwide tally of coronavirus cases reported reached 14 crore mark and 30 lakh people passed away till date across the globe.
