24,492 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 24,492 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of coronavirus cases in India to 1,14,09,831. The total number of recoveries in the country are at 1,10,27,543 and the total active cases in the country are at 2,23,432. 131 people passed away in the country in the last 24 hours and the total number of deaths reached 1,58,856. The total number of people who took the vaccination in the country till date reached 3,29,47,432. Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab contributed to 77 percent of the total new cases in the country reported in the last 24 hours.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with all the Chief Ministers of the state through a virtual meeting and will discuss about the ongoing coronavirus vaccination drive and the number of cases. The interaction will take place at 12:30 PM tomorrow. The government of Gujarat decided to impose a night curfew from 10 PM to 6 AM in the cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot from today till March 31st. India vaccinated more than 30 lakh people on Monday which is the highest till date. As per the reports coming from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested in India till date are 22,82,80,763 and the samples tested yesterday are said to be 8,73,350.
