India reports 16,838 new coronavirus cases:- A total number of new 16,838 cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the total tally of cases reached 1,11,73,761. The total death tally in India is now at 1,57,548 and 1,08,39,894 people recovered completely from coronavirus. The active cases in India are at 1,76,319 and this is equal to 1.58 percent of the total caseload in the country. The recovery rate in India stands at 97.01 percent and the global tally of coronavirus cases reached 11.55 crores which are huge. Almost 25.67 lakh people died due to coronavirus. The total number of people who took the vaccination for coronavirus in the country is now at 1.80 crores.
As per the reports from WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the number of new coronavirus infections increased globally for the first time in seven weeks. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a virtual summit with the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said that India provided medicines and other needed essentials for 150 countries during the coronavirus pandemic season. Modi also told that India provided vaccines to 50 countries of the globe. As per the reports coming from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, no new deaths are reported in 18 Indian states and union territories in the last 24 hours in India. As per the reports coming from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples tested in the country till date are said to be 21,99,40,742 and the samples that are tested yesterday in India are 7,61,834.
