BJP-AIADMK discuss about seat sharing in Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls:- The Election Commission of India yesterday announced the schedule of the Assembly polls for five Indian states: Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Puducherry, and Assam. The political heat is back in Tamil Nadu and all the parties are well prepared for the polls. NDA allies BJP and AIADMK leaders met today to discuss about the sharing of the seats. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Chennai and the meeting is planned to finalize the seat sharing between the parties. G Kishan Reddy along with Tamil Nadu BJP President L Murugan met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister Panneerselvam in their residences this morning to discuss about the seat sharing in the Assembly polls of Tamil Nadu.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public meeting at Villupuram tomorrow and will meet the party followers before he heads back to Delhi. AIADMK is said to have offered 20-23 seats for BJP but the saffron party is currently demanding 40 seats. On the other side, DMK is in talks with Congress to contest together and is discussing about the sharing of seats between the parties. Congress is demanding 54 seats and the talks are currently going on. AIADMK is keen to retain the power while DMK is in plans to dethrone AIADMK. Kamal Haasan's MNM is also in talks with Arvind Kejriwal's AAP. AIMIM too is in plans to contest in the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. The elections in the state would take place on April 6th and the results would be declared on May 2nd.
