Farmer Unions Planning Massive Protests For Republic Day:- The farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan are protesting at the border of the national capital New Delhi from the past two months. The Farmer Unions have been holding talks with the Centre and the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar but the talks failed as the farmers are not ready to compromise on their stand and they want the three introduced farm laws to be scrapped. The farmer unions started holding tractor rallies in the villages of Punjab to mobilize the people for the planned tractor parade that will take place on Republic Day if the next set of talks fail.

The tractor rallies are held in Nawanshahr and Gurdaspur and many more are planned in this week. Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan) general secretary Sukhdev Singh said that the farmers are united and they are keen to join the massive protest for the Republic Day. He said that five to ten tractors will leave each village for the Republic Day protests and some of the villages, towns are lining up 50 tractors. The Farmer Unions are in plans to pool a maximum number of people this week so that the Centre wakes up and resolves their issue. A special parade will be held in Delhi's Outer Ring Road against the farm laws. The Supreme Court recently issued an order against the farm laws and they are kept on hold for now.
