18,139 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In India:- A total number of 18,139 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 20,539 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. 234 people passed away yesterday and the total tally of coronavirus Indian cases stands at 1,04,13,417 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. 1,00,37,398 recovered completely from coronavirus and 1,50,570 people passed away due to coronavirus. The mortality rate in India is at 1.4 percent and the active cases in the country stands at 2,25,449. The total samples tested in the country till date are said to be 17.93 crore and the samples tested yesterday are said to be 9,35,369.

Kerala continued to report huge number of cases and a total number of 5051 cases are reported in the state in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra stands second with 3729 cases. Telangana reported 346 new coronavirus cases along with two deaths. The flight services between India and the United Kingdom resumed today after two weeks and the services are limited. Special quarantine guidelines are issued for the travellers coming from the United Kingdom. The first flight from the United Kingdom reached New Delhi today with 256 passengers. The dry run for the coronavirus vaccine trials are currently happening and the distribution of the vaccine is expected to start from January 13th across the country.
