20 UK Returnees Tested Positive For Coronavirus:- The new strain of coronavirus which is 70 percent fast-spreading emerged in the United Kingdom and it reached India through the returnees who came back to the country. As many as 20 returnees are tested positive for this coronavirus. Around 33,000 passengers returned back to India from the United Kingdom between November 25th and December 23rd. The Indian government said that they are carefully monitoring the situation. India recorded 14 fresh cases of mutant strain coronavirus. The total tally of these cases reached 20 with the new additions. The number of these new cases are expected to go high. The Indian government banned flights from the United Kingdom.

20,549 new coronavirus cases are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total tally of coronavirus cases stands at 1.02 crores. Around 98.07 lakh patients recovered completely from the deadly virus in the country and the death toll is at 1.48 lakhs. The recovery rate in the country now stands at 95.92 percent and there are 2.68 lakh active cases of coronavirus in India. 286 people passed away in the country in the last 24 hours. Telangana reported 474 new cases of coronavirus along with three deaths and the total tally stands at 2.85 lakhs. The Aviation Ministry revealed that the flights between India and the United Kingdom will continue to stay suspended beyond December 31st as the situations are quite alarming.
