India Likely to Approve AstraZeneca Vaccine

India Likely to Approve AstraZeneca Vaccine:- The wave of coronavirus cases in the country are slowly coming down. India happened to be the second most impacted country because of the deadly virus. India reported over 1 crore cases in the country and the wave came down and the recovery rate went high. The active cases in India are currently below 3 lakhs. Countries like USA and UK approved the vaccine Pfizer and the distribution of the vaccine started recently on priority basis. There are four major vaccines that are in the final stages of clinical trials and are waiting for the approval. If the speculations are to be believed, India is expected to approve the Oxford University's vaccination AstraZeneca for emergency use by next week. The local manufacturer submited the additional data that is sought by the authorities.

If this goes true, India would be the first country to give regulatory green light for the vaccination that is manufactured by the British drugmaker. The British medicine regulator continues to examine the data from the trials. If the approval is done by next week, the vaccine distribution in India will start from January and the initial doses would be given for the health workers. India is the second most populated country in the world and the Indian government is in plans to get the vaccine at the earliest before a second wave for coronavirus hits the country.
