The total tally of coronavirus cases in the country reached 1,00,55,560 by today with the new addition off 24,337 new cases of coronavirus reported in India. The death tally in the country is said to be 1,45,810 and a total number of 96,06,111 patients recovered completely from coronavirus in the country till date. The reports are released by the Union Health Ministry and the number of active cases are said to be 3,03,063.

The recovery rate in India stands at 95.53 percent as per the recoveries and there are 3.02 percent active cases in India and the death rate is said to be 1.45 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total tests conducted in the country stands at 16,20,98,329 and the samples tested yesterday are said to be 9,00,134. An emergency meeting has been called for by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to discuss about the steps to be taken with the experts warning of the second wave of coronavirus in the country.
