Vijayashanti Joins BJP: Quits Congress:- Veteran Tollywood actress and senior politician Vijayashanti called it a quit for Congress last weekend and she joined BJP today in New Delhi in the presence of party leaders. Vijayashanti met Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently after which she made her decision. Vijayashanti started her political career in BJP in the year 1997 but she walked out of the party during the Telangana movement and joined TRS. The 54-year-old politician was elected for Lok Sabha in 2009 and she joined Congress in 2014 after her differences with KCR. Vijayashanti was inactive after the polls and made her comeback to the mainstream cinema recently.

BJP created a wave in the recent GHMC polls and is gaining strength every single day. The party too welcomed efficient leaders and believes that Vijayashanti can do the magic. Recently Tamil actor and politician Khushbu Sundar joined BJP. Vijayashanti was inactive in the political activities for the past few months. Vijayashanti joined BJP in the presence of Arun Singh, Kishan Reddy, Dr K Laxman, Vivek, Bandi Sanjay, Indrasena Reddy and other leaders. Vijayashanti is in plans to turn active in politics very soon.
