AP Government Postpones Local Body Polls

AP Government Postpones Local Body Polls:- Andhra Pradesh government created a stir across the state because of the local body polls in Andhra Pradesh. YS Jaganmohan Reddy could not digest the fact after the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar postponed the local body polls considering the coronavirus pandemic. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has been holding talks to all the political parties in the state on October 28th about taking the final call on the local body polls. The government of Andhra Pradesh ruled out about holding the local body polls in November considering the current situations.

The government of Andhra Pradesh made it clear that the polls will not take place in November and the updated date would be announced soon. A review meeting was conducted today with the State Level Bankers Committee in the presence of YS Jagan. AP Minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy announced that the polls will not be held anytime soon considering the coronavirus pandemic situations in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the cases of coronavirus may increase in November considering the weather conditions and it is not wise to conduct the local body polls.

With his move, the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar may cancel the all party meeting that was scheduled next week.
