Train Travel Between AP and Telangana to turn Faster:- The South Central Railways has been conducting trials to improve the services and quality of the journey across the major routes. As per the latest news, the train travel between the Telugu states is expected to be faster in the coming months. Special trials are being conducted between the major routes of the states which are part of Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) or Golden Diagonal (GD) sections of the South Central Railways. The tracks and other infrastructure are strengthened utilizing the coronavirus pandemic season. The maximum speed between the major routes will now be increased from 110 kmph to 130 kmph.

The Golden Quadrilateral of the South Central Railways are extended between Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The major routes are Balharshah-Kazipet-Vijayawada-Gudur, Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam and Wadi-Gooty-Renigunta sections. The permissible speed is 120 kmph in the routes of Balharshah-Kazipet-Vijayawada and Kazipet-Secunderabad sections. The permissible speed is 110 kmph between Vijayawada-Gudur and Wadi-Gooty-Renigunta sections. The routes will now have a permissible speed of 130 kmph and the travel time between the Telugu states will come down soon.

The trials are conducted and the results have been extremely positive. The tracks are upgraded currently and the curves are improved and other works are done. Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway told that the journey would be decreased and the quality of the journey would be increased in the Golden Quadrilateral routes.
