Big Day for Vijay Mallya Today:- Liquor baron and businessman Vijay Mallya has been absconding from the country from the past few years after he owes over Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks. The Supreme Court will announce the verdict on the petition filed by Vijay Mallya who sought the review of the order from May 2017 after he transferred 40 million USD for his children. The Supreme Court bench led by Justice Ashok Bhushan and Lalit reserved the order after hearing the arguments of both the parties on August 27th. There are two allegations about Vijay Mallya and they are about siphoning the money and the failure to disclose the assets.

The Supreme Court asked the lawyers of Vijay Mallya to explain why the absconding businessman never appeared before the court from the past three years despite of repeated attempts. The top court asked Vijay Mallya's legal team to produce all the details about what happened over these years and the details about the officials who dealt with the case and the file about the review petition in the past three years. Vijay Mallya is currently residing in the United Kingdom and will be extradited to India very soon. There are allegations that Vijay Mallya transferred 40 million USD from a British firm Diageo which is named as a violation of various judicial orders.
