Coronavirus India Cases Cross 20 Lakh Mark:- With 62,538 fresh cases recorded on Thursday, the total tally of coronavirus cases reached 20 lakhs in the country and 41,585 people passed away due to the pandemic. 886 people passed away in the country yesterday and the total cases reached 20,27,074. As per the report from the Union Health Ministry, the country has 6,07,384 active cases of coronavirus and 13,78,105 got recovered already and are discharged. The recovery rate in the country is above 67% as of now and the mortality rate is at 2.05 %. The Health Ministry made it clear that most of the deaths in the country are caused due to comorbidities.
Maharashtra is leading the list with 4 lakhs cases and the number crossed one lakh each in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the total cases crossed 20 lakhs. He said that the government is missing. The Telangana Government asked the Centre to issue guidelines to develop vaccinations for coronavirus for fast track approvals. The vaccine that is developed by Moderna protected mice from the coronavirus infection and is all set for human trials.
