Centre Announces Lockdown Extension Till July 31st:- Terming it as Unlock 2.0, the Centre announced that the lockdown will be extended till July 31st in the country with relaxations in some of the regions. Strict lockdown will be implemented in containment zones across the country. All the schools, colleges, educational institutions, metro trains, movie plexes, gyms, swimming pools, theatres, bars, auditoriums and assembly halls will remain closed till the end of July. There are no permissions granted for public events, gatherings, sports, political or religious meetings in the country.

There would limited air and train facilities available as per the announced schedules. They would be expanded in the coming weeks as per the situations. The Centre announced that there would be no restriction to travel between states and for the movement inside the states. There is no need for any e-pass to travel between the states. All the passenger and Shramik trains will continue to run as per the schedules. A strict curfew will be imposed from 10 PM till 5 AM all over the country. Except for the pharmacies and medical cares, everything would remain shut. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation this evening at 4 PM.
