No Community Transmission In Telangana:- The number of increasing cases of coronavirus in Telangana are worrying as they are increasing at a rapid speed. The ICMR in Telangana has done a Sero-Prevalence survey that revealed that there is no community transmission in the state as of now. The survey was conducted in the districts of Nalgonda, Kamareddy and Jangaon by National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) between May 15th and 17th. 1200 samples have been collected out of which four of them resulted positive.

Similar tests have been conducted in the containment zones in the limits of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The tests were conducted in five containment zones on May 30th and 31st. The tests were done in Miyapur, Chandanagar, Adhibatla, Tappachabutra, Balapur and others. Only 15 of the results from the 500 samples were resulted in positive.

Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajendar clarified that there is no community transmission in the state as per the survey done by the ICMR. The surveys have been conducted across 82 districts in the country by the Indian Council of Medical Research. The GHMC staff along with the Health Department officials assisted the NIN during the survey tests. The tests were declared on Sunday after the blood samples collected from each person were sent to Chennai.
