LG Team From South Korea To Investigate The Vizag Gas Leak Incident:- The dangerous styrene gas got leaked from LG Polymers in RR Venkatapuram located in the outskirts of Vizag. The incident killed 12 people and hundreds got hospitalized because of the tragedy. A team of eight members from South Korea's Seoul will reach Vizag to conduct a detailed investigation about the incident. All the locals residing in the five villages around LG Polymers are evacuated. The company said that its objective is to promptly support the rehabilitation. The eight-member team already started from South Korea.

The team will work on the ground and will interact with all the concerned authorities to investigate and resolve the situation. The team comprises of experts in production, safety development. The team will also meet the victims and will meet the government officials of Vizag. The locals after the incident protested to shift LG Polymers from RR Venkatapuram to a different region from the city. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) imposed a penalty of Rs 50 crores. The incident took place on last Thursday morning after LG Polymers was opened to operate after a long break of 50 days.
