AP Witnesses Huge Rise In Coronavirus Cases:- The coronvirus scare is increasing across the country. Andhra Pradesh witnessed a huge jump in the number of cases. 80 new cases got registered in the state and the total tally reached 893. There are 725 active cases in Andhra Pradesh and 27 people passed away in the state. 141 people got discharged from Andhra Pradesh after they got cured completely. Kurnool district which is leading the list had 31 new cases and 18 fresh cases are registered in Guntur district. Chittoor got 14 new cases and East Godavari, Anantapur got 6 new cases each.

Kurnool and Guntur districts are now having half of the cases of the state. Kurnool tops the list of cases with 234 and Guntur is in second place with 195 cases. Controversies triggered after YSRCP MLA staged rally after which 13 people got infected in Srikalahasti. The total number of cases in the town reached 36. Strict lockdown is imposed in the red zones while the other regions had restrictions. The lockdown would be followed till May 4th and the extension would be decided on the number of cases and the announcement made by the Centre.
