Telangana Cabinet Wants Centre To Scrap CAA:- The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) created a stir across the country and there are protests going on all over against the act. The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and his cabinet wanted the Centre to scrap CAA and it triggered religious discrimination in granting citizenship of India to the people of other countries. The Telangana cabinet passed a resolution to ask the Centre to scrap CAA. Just like Kerala, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Punjab, KCR is in plans to pass the resolution in the Telangana Assembly.

KCR and his cabinet met in Pragathi Bhavan yesterday to discuss about various issues. Along with CAA, discussions went about 'Pattana Pragathi' program which is planned to start from February 24th in the cities and towns across Telangana. The cabinet had a detailed discussion about the program. The guidelines of the program will be finalized through a municipal conference on February 18th. KCR feels that this would lay a foundation stone for the best urban living. Rs 76 crores for GHMC and Rs 70 crores for other Corporations, Municipalities will be released every month under this program.

KCR also wanted everyone to plant saplings in large numbers across the state under 'Green Action' plan.
