AP Government Denies Shifting of Kia Plant

AP Government Denies Shifting of Kia Plant:- As per the report from Reuters, it is heard that the 1.1 billion USD Kia Car plant from Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district is moving out from the state. There were reports that the Kia officials are holding talks with Tamil Nadu government and an announcement about the same will be out soon. This created huge ruckus all over and right from the national media to the local media, everyone reported the news. It was speculated that Kia is moving out because of the new government in Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Andhra Pradesh denied the news saying that they are working with Kia and no such developments are made.

Rajath Bhargava, special chief secretary, industries, investments and commerce, condemned the news. He said that AP Government shares an excellent relationship with Kia. YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy responded saying that the government is supportive to Kia. Several crucial leaders and ministers responded on a strong note regarding the same. They lauded Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for his efforts and the government welcomed several new companies who are coming with business proposals. Kia recently said that the AP plant would soon reach its capacity of 3,00,000 units and 18,000 people will be employed.
