JNU Violence: Protests All Over the Country

JNU Violence: Protests All Over the Country:- The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) turned out to be a war zone yesterday evening after some unknown people armed with sticks attacked the students. Some of the people were attacked and the property was damaged. The JNU administration said the situation prompted it to call the police to maintain law and order. The students claimed that some masked people entered Sabarmati and other hostels and thrashed the students with rods and sticks.

The Students union said that the attacked was initiated by RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). The ABVP goons pelted stones and spoiled the properties. Arvind Kejriwal condemned the incident while Rahul Gandhi called the attack brutal. Soon after the incident, today protests started all over the country against the attacks on JNU. Thousands of students joined the protests in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune. Union Minister Amit Shah ordered a probe on the incident and the investigation is on.

Over 34 students are injured in the incident and all are out of danger. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called for a party meeting to discuss on JNU attacks.
