AP Government Scraps the Plan of Electric Buses:- The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) dropped the plans to introduce 350 electric buses in the state. After the Chief Minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy directed, APSRTC dropped their announced plans. The tender was floated in September for electric buses. Though YS Jagan was initially in plans to introduce 1000 buses, he later reduced the count to 350 because of the logistic reasons. Before the tender opened, YS Jagan wanted it to be referred to the Judicial Preview Commission for scrutiny as per the AP Infrastructure Act 2019.

This was made after AP Government faced allegations of showing favor for a particular company in offering the contract. Soon, YS Jagan issued a fresh order to drop the plans entirely. YS Jagan instead asked APSRTC to buy 1000 new buses to replace the aged ones said Perni Nani. APSRTC wanted to deploy 50 buses between Tirumala and Tirupati, 100 buses each in Vijayawada, Vizag. 50 buses are planned to be introduced in Kakinada. As per the original schedule, the financial bids are planned to be opened on November 4th and the reverse tendering was planned on November 6th but YS Jagan scrapped the entire plan.
