Several Leaders Detained Ahead of Million March in Hyderabad

Several Leaders Detained Ahead of Million March in Hyderabad:- The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees, unions and JAC members called up for a Millon March to protest against the Telangana government today at Tank Bund. Massive arrangements and preparations are being made for the march and all the employees across the state are expected to attend the march in huge numbers. With tension prevailed, the Telangana cops prevented the leaders of opposition parties to reach Hyderabad. Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar has refused permission for the protest and imposed prohibitory orders in the city.

As per the update, 380 leaders from various political parties and RTC unions are taken into custody. 126 RTC union leaders from 16 depots in and around Hyderabad are taken into custody. Some Osmania University students were detained at night from the campus. Special check-posts are arranged to prevent protesters from entering Hyderabad. RTC Joint Action Committee leaders E Ashwathama Reddy, Raji Reddy, Thomas Reddy and Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao, Telangana Jana Samiti president Prof M Kodandaram, CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy are restricted to their houses. On the other side, the TSRTC JAC called off all the employees to make the Million March successful.
