Haryana Heads For a Hung and BJP Leads in Maharashtra

Haryana Heads For a Hung and BJP Leads in Maharashtra:- Haryana Ex-Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda reached the opposition parties to form the alliance against the BJP Government. Haryana headed for a hung after BJP won 40 seats and Congress got 30 seats. A veteran in the state and Sonia Gandhi’s trusted lieutenant, Hooda has been given a free hand to ensure government formation. 18 independents and others registered victory and Bhupinder Singh Hooda is quite confident in getting the support from others to form the government. Hooda also warned the Centre and state government against “trying to take undue advantage of Independent candidates”.

On the other side, BJP showed clear dominance in Maharashtra as it is leading in 167 seats. Congress is restricted to 94 seats and others are leading in 25 seats. Aaditya Thackeray, the first in his political family to contest elections, won from Worli. It will be BJP-Shiv Sena going up for the alliance or we have to wait to see if there are any surprises from the latter. All eyes are on the move of Pawar. The Shiv Sena may have emerged the kingmaker in this election, but has suffered a huge embarrassment at home. The party lost the Bandra East seat where Thackeray family home Matoshree is located.
