Heavy Rains Lash Mumbai: Rescue Operations On:- Mumbai city has been shattered with the heavy rains and the normal life has been disturbed after rain is on for the fifth consecutive day. At least 22 people have been killed in different incidents. The Meteorological Department said that rains will continue today and Tuesday has been declared as a holiday. In the last 24 hours, Santa Cruz has recorded 375mm rains which is highest in a decade for July.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis visited Shatabdi Hospital to meet those injured in Malad East wall collapse incident. The rescue operations are monitored by Navy officials. 18 people were killed in Malad wall collapse and the intense rainfall is expected to continue in the coming days. All the people have been asked to stay at their homes and the coastal region is kept on high alert. Mumbai received a month's rainfall in just three days which is huge.
