KCR Lays Foundation Stone for New Secretariat:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) laid the foundation stone for the new Secretariat and Legislature complex as per the schedule. The bhumi puja took place in the presence of TRS leaders, MLAs and Ministers. The bhumi pooja took place for the apex administrative complex next to D Block.

KCR then laid the foundation stone for the new integrated Legislative Assembly complex at Erramanzil this afternoon. All his cabinet colleagues participated in the bhumi pooja. All the leaders of Telangana attended the event and KCR hosted a lunch to all the participants in his Pragati Bhavan residence soon after this. Minister for Roads and Buildings V Prashant Reddy, Minister for Welfare Koppula Easwar and Minister for Prohibition Srinivas Goud will finalize the designs and will present them to KCR by this weekend.
The new Secretariat is expected to cost Rs 400 crores and the Assembly along with other halls is expected to cost Rs 100 crores.
