T Padma Rao Unanimously Elected As Telangana Deputy Speaker:- Former Minister and Secunderabad MLA T Padma Rao Goud shares a close bonding with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and is a loyal politician. He missed an opportunity to work in KCR's cabinet but the TRS Chief promised Deputy Speaker post for Padma Rao. Keeping things smooth, T Padma Rao has been elected as the Deputy Speaker unanimoulsy today. KCR appreciated his efforts during the Telangana movement and lauded his contribution for Telangana after its formation.

No other applications have been filed for the position of Deputy Speaker post and the last date for nomination was Saturday. T Padma Rao joined TRS in 2001 and won as MLA from Secunderabad in 2004. He handle Excise ministry, sports and youth affairs. Congress too supported TRS for the Deputy Speaker elections without any candidate in the race. T Padma Rao promised to be honest and said that he would do justice for the position.
