New Year Eve: VIP Darshan Restricted in Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is all set to witness a huge rush at Lord Venkateswara Temple on the New Year's eve and decided to restrict the VIP Darshan on January 1st. As they could not cancel some of the VIP invitations all the VIPs and VVIPs will be allowed for Darshan from 2 AM to 4.30 AM in the temple. The VIP darshan generally happens from 4.30 AM on regular basis and it is now restricted and pushed. All the break and afternoon darshans have been cancelled.

The Sarvadarshanam for common people will start at 4.30 AM on January 1st informed TTD. A review meeting has been conducted on Sunday with all the departments of TTD after which the above key decisions have been taken. The security has been beefed up and special sevaks are asked to take charge. Tirumala temple is expected to witness massive crowds of over 2 lakhs on New Year's eve. Tirumala is known to be the richest Hindu temple across the globe.
