Sabarimala Protests: Kerala Govt Arrests 1400 People:- After the Supreme Court granted permission to women entering into the Sabarimala temple, protests staged across the stage. Several groups attacked aspiring women who made their way to enter into the temple. As a result not a single woman could enter into the temple premises in one week. This created a huge stir and Kerala Government has been badly criticized for the incidents. The Supreme Court asked the Kerala Government to provide security for the people who wish to enter Sabarimala temple.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan chaired a meeting with police officials. Over 258 cases have been registered and the cops arrested 1400 people who staged protests and attacked the piligrims. Some of the pictures too have been released before the arrests. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is said to have been quite aangry with the episodes. BJP and Congress badly criticized the Kerala Government making them responsible for the attacks. The temple re-opens during the mid of November and the Kerala Government is in plans to impose strict action on the attackers so that such incidents will not be repeated.
