Vijay Mallya Gets Three Weeks Deadline From Mumbai Court:- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya has been absconding from the country and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been trying hard to extradite Vijay Mallya back to the country. The Mumbai Court allotted three weeks time to file the reply on the application of RD which sought to declare Mallya has a fugitive economic offender under the new law. The deadline has been imposed as September 24th and the court will decide the course of hearing as per the response of Vijay Mallya.

The Mumbai Special Court summoned Mallya on June 30th under the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act and asked Mallya to appear before it on August 27th. The Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill, 2018 has been introduced on March 12th in Lok Sabha and it was passed during July this year. All the properties of Mallya will be confiscated.
