Polavaram Is 56% Complete Says Chandra Babu:- With the Centre ignoring the prestigious Polavaram project after TDP deferred with BJP, AP Government has taken things prestigiously and decided to complete it as per the announced date. The Polavaram dam has been showing rapid progress after the inauguration of the diaphragm wall on June 11th revealed AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. He made sure that the monsoon season will have much impact in the construction works of the project. Chandra Babu wished to provide water for each and every inch of the land in AP and informed that 56% of the project work has been completed.

75.8% of the excavation for the spillway and spill channel has been completed. 28.4% of the concreting for the spillway, stilling basin and spill channel is completed till date. Chandra Babu revealed that despite of Centre ignoring AP in granting funds, the project has been progressing at rapid pace. He instructed Secretary Shashi Bhushan to prepare a projection of the required funds from the Centre and inform them the same.
