Maoists Plan To Assassinate Narendra Modi Unearthed:- In a shocking move, the Maharastra police unearthed Maoists have planned plots to assassinate Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a similar incident to that of Rajiv Gandhi assassination. There have been seperate maoists have planned a series of incidents and they also targeted Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who initiated operations against the rebels. The Pune cops found a letter from Delhi based activist Rona Jacob Wilson who was one of the accused. The letter is said to have addressed to Comrade Prakash and was sent in April.

"We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi-type incident, targeting his (Modi’s) road shows could be an effective strategy" read the letter. Home Minister Rajnath Singh revealed that the Government is serious about the security of Prime Minister. An investigation is on and the security has been tightened for Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Ealier Fadnavis received two anonymous letters threatening to kill his family.
