Supreme Court Refuses To Stay Yeddyurappa’s Swearing-in:- Karnataka Assembly poll results took many turns and it is finally BJP which ended up victorious. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yeddyurappa is all set to take the oath as Chief Minister today in Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru. Things got clear after Supreme Court in an overnight hearing refused to stop the oath taking ceremony as per the petition filed by Congress and JDS jointly. However the next hearing on this petition will take place on Friday at 10.30 AM.

The apex court even asked BS Yeddyurappa to file a reply. After this Karnataka Governor Vaijubhai Vala invited Yeddyurappa to form the government in the state. The decision was taken on the basis of being the leader of single-largest party in the state. BJP got 104 seats out of 224 and there will be no special guests from the Centre for the swearing ceremony. Governor gave 15 days to prove his majority in the state Assembly and Congress objected the time given for BJP.
