Devendra Fadnavis promised to allot the lands for the tribes under Forest Rights Act within six months time. He even revealed that the entire loans would be waved off by June 2017. It has been revealed that 95% of those who participated in the march never owned any farm lands and have been fighting from decades. A committee has been set up to review their request. Earlier, Azad Maidan turned into a sea of red as farmers wore red caps and carried red flags as a part of their protest.
