1500 Electric Buses Sanctioned For Andhra Pradesh:- Central Government has granted 1500 buses under the first phase of introducing energy efficient vehicles across all the states. Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) (Union Ministry of Power) approved the number and Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director of EESL confirmed the news. The vehicles are ready to be delivered to Andhra Pradesh confirmed EESL. Saurabh Kumar confirmed that the priority is Andhra Pradesh.

"1500 energy efficient vehicles across Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupathi will be on roads during the implementation of the first phase” revealed Saurabh Kumar. On the other side APSRTC already has been in plans to introduce e-mini buses across Tirumala Ghat Road. The Central Government is quite happy with several states showing interestng in introducing energy efficient vehicles.
