Hyderabad Metro witnessed 2.1 lakh commuters on Saturday till 9.30 PM and shattered all the records. The holiday rush along with the weekend and Hyderabad people have been quite eager to try a ride which turned out to be the reason for the mad rush. The employees of the Hyderabad Metro have been asked to issue the smartcards till 9.30 PM considering the rush. At some point of time, the Hyderabad Metro authorities stopped issuing tickets considering the long queues and huge rush.
Only 14 trains have been in operations during this season and they will be slowly increased to 57 soon. Considering the stretch and running on speeds, Hyderabad Metro will not increase the number of trains. However the frequency will be changed soon during the peak hours.
