Former Tadepalligudem MLA Arrested for Gambling

Former MLA from Tadepalligudem, Eli Venkata Madhusudhan Rao and four others were apprehended by the Central Zone Task Force police at Paryatak Bhavan on Saturday night. The police seized Rs 5.74 lakh cash, a car and five mobile phones.

Two teams of Central Zone Task Force police raided the hotel Haritha Plaza beside Telangana Chief Minister’s camp office in Punjagutta police station limits.

Police took Eli Venkata Madhusudhan Rao alias Nani and four others including a petty businessman from the city into custody.

Officials said “on a tip-off, we raided the hotel and found former MLA and four others gambling by betting money on the three-card game. They were apprehended and handed over to the Punjagutta police for further action. Rs 5.74 lakh cash, one car and five mobiles were seized from them.”
