Recently Telangana Chief Minister KCR waived off of the taxes which the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital was supposed to pay to the Telangana government. Film star and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed his gratitude to KCR for this goodwill gesture.

Before the commencement of his most awaited 100th film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, Balayya met KCR and requested him to waive off the taxes and the Chief Minister responded positively.
 
Recently, KCR signed on the tax waiver file, considering the services the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital has been extended to the patients over these years.

Speaking at the hospital's 16th anniversary celebrations as the chief guest, Balayya said that “the hospital has been offering international standard treatment to thousands of patients over these years irrespective of their caste, religion and region.”
