Delhi Hit and run case: CCTV footage out

Sidharth Sharma, 32, was killed in a hit and run case last Monday, in North Delhi and his family has now released CCTV footage of the incident.

On Monday, at around 8.45 pm, the horrible incident took place, when Sharma was crossing the road near Ludlow Castle School and a Mercedes car hit him.

Sharma, the marketing head of a multinational enterprise, after the car’s hit, had  flung several feet into the air and landed at least 15 metres away, severely injured.

The impact of the accident, led to the tyre of the car burst and was stopped after a sharp drift on the road. The accused ran away from the spot, fearing with the consequences.



Through the investigation, it was found that the car, that was going at a speed of 80 km per hour, driven by a 17 year old and his friends, who were allegedly going for a joy ride.

Being minor, the accused juvenile was released on bail and however, his father would have to face the consequences as per the MV Act.

Earlier, the father’s personal driver said that, it was he who drove the car.

But after the investigation, it was found false. Now reportedly, even the driver would be booked for giving the false information.
