Kapu agitation in the state is being considered as the YSRCP’s strategy, just before the GHMC elections.
Digging the wells, for the oppositions, before the elections is not new in the Indian politics. Right from the beginning, be it statewide or national wide, there are several incidents in the past, that went viral, just before the elections. The oppositions perform such acts, to defame the government and thus expect that it would lose the votes.
Even in the recent times, there are several incidents that took place in the Telugu states. Just before Telangana MLC elections, TRS strategically exposed the cash for vote and phone conversation issues and tried to corner AP government and defame it.
No one knows whether the influence of it was there on the public or not, but the TRS got more than expected result and secured a historical victory.
In the same way, call money issue went viral, just before the start of the assembly meetings. Though the oppositions tried to target AP government, TDP officials tightly jolted, which resulted in suspension of the YSRCP leaders from the assembly meetings. Even Warangal by-polls took place, amidst of huge tensions in both the Telugu states.
Now it it is the time for GHMC elections. As the elections are going to be held tomorrow, in a shocking move, Kapus turned against the government and set fire, the train and other public property.
Reacting to this, a few of the TDP leaders said that, YSRCP is behind the agitations and is trying to defame the government, just before GHMC elections. YSRCP’s support to Kapus is strengthening this buzz.
However, the elections are conducted in Telangana, it should be seen, how far this violent act in Andhra Pradesh, influence Telangana voters.
Chandrababu Naidu is currently in the meeting with the ministers, to discuss about Kapu agitation issue.
TDP leaders, Narayana, Prathipati Pulla Rao, Devineni Uma had attended the meeting. Naidu is reportedly speaking about the law and order issue and transformation of the politics in the state.
