Congress senior leader S. Jaipal Reddy said that, he is the key person behind the formation of Telangana state.
It is known that, on Tuesday, as a part of the campaigning in Warangal by-polls, KCR had busted on several opposition leaders like Jaipal Reddy, Jana Reddy and Kishan Reddy and made several controversial comments.
While Jana Reddy and Kishan Reddy already gave the enough counters, now Jaipal Reddy came forward to give his style of counters to CM KCR.
Without me, Telangana is impossible - Jaipal Reddy
Responding to KCR comments, Jaipal Reddy said that, KCR should be aware of the fact that, without his efforts as a Union minister, Telangana state would not have been a reality today.
He further said that, everyone knows, that there were four Union ministers from the Andhra region and he was the only one from Telangana state. “I pressurized the centre to retain Hyderabad as the capital of Telangana state, while the Centre is in a thought of making it a union territory,” Jaipal Reddy said.
Jaipal Reddy said that, he continuously foiled all the attempts, by the then Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was trying to create the hurdles in the formation of Telangana state.
“After declaration of Telangana state, KCR even visited me along with Sonia Gandhi in Delhi and thanked us for granting the separate state. Not stopping there, KCR even asked me to be the Chief Minister of Telangana state. But I asked to merge the TRS party into the Congress as promised by him earlier. KCR assured to do it, but completely forgot about it later. The funny thing is, that same KCR, who had thanked us for granting Telangana, is saying that we are against Telangana,” KCR said.
Last day to campaign in Warangal-by-polls
Meanwhile, as today is going to be the final day for the campaigning for Warangal by-polls. So all the leaders are keen on using this last day for conving the public, to their best. While, TRS is concerned about the majority, Congress is concentrating on defaming TRS, in Warangal, by explaining to the public, alleging that, KCR deceived the state.
