Land acquisition in a week, time for Pawan’s entry!

Andhra Pradesh agriculture minister, Prathipati Pulla Rao said that a notification for land acquisition would be out within a week.

For the construction of AP capital Amaravati, land pooling is one such big hurdle, the government is still facing. In the beginning, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has severely opposed the land pooling and asked to stop it.

Keeping in mind the craze of Pawan Kalyan among the farmers, AP government came down on the issue. But after the stone laying ceremony, the government is keen on acquiring the lands soon and start the construction.

Pawan warned the government not to force the farmers for land acquisition, but convince them to give the lands. Following the same, AP government is getting ready to convince the farmers. For the multi cropped lands, the government is even getting ready to pay more compensation, than that payed to the normal lands.

As the master plan was designed including even those lands, which farmers refused to give, there is no other option to the government, other than going on with the land pooling, even though the farmers turn against it.

With this, there are many chances for the government to face criticisms from the public and also might lose Pawan Kalyan’s support in the next elections.

Speaking on the issue, Prathipati said, “The government has to acquire 1,500 acres of land. Regarding this, 300 acres would be acquired in the first phase and the rest in the next phase.” The government has so far acquired 26,746 acres of land and it is yet to  acquire remaining land and start the construction.

Ministers P. Narayana, Pulla Rao, MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar and other TDP leaders met the farmers, who refused to part with but could not convince them, resulting in the enforcement of the Land Acquisition act.
