Indians love violent porn, so cannot ban it: CBI

“It is difficult to ban the violent porn in India, as most of the men are liking such kind of porn, and thus has huge market potential,” the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said.

In the past, a senior lawyer appealed to the Supreme Court through a petition, to ban the porn in the country. Though the court felt that, it is against the right of freedom, it approved the petition and banned the porn.

But upon the issue went viral in the social media, criticizing the government, the officials had to come down on porn ban issue, stating that, it is simply obstructing the people’s rights and no one has the right to stop a person watching the porn in his personal room, with the doors closed.

Though the government compromised on banning the porn in the country, it is posing few conditions on the issue. But it seems, even those are not being entertained by anyone now.

Speaking on the issue, CBI officials said, “Indian men have an insatiable lust and a penchant for salacious material, including violence against women. It is proving difficult to stop violent cyber pornography in India because of India's "domineering male population's" high demand of such content. Due to the high market potential, it is vulnerable to frequent cyber-attacks by cross-border anti-national elements.”

Due to the high demand of violent porn, the content providers move from one blocked website to another. Regarding this, in the Supreme Court, the CBI has now presented an affidavit seeking the complete authority, with which it can investigate cybersex offences and also to persecute the offenders.

The agency also said, that "CBI officers with specialized training in cyber crime, should be posted with Google, Yahoo, YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Hike, Bing (Microsoft), and other popular sites,"  a leading daily reported.

Cybersex offences are those which are disturbing the public life and if Supreme Court approves CBI’s appeal, it should be seen, how the further changes takes place in the system and moreover it can be expected that the issue might go viral, as in the past.
