Yesterday, Hardik Patel announced that, he would be launching a lollipop movement against Gujarat government.

Recently, Gujarat state Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has announced a special scheme  with substantial fee waiver called 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojana', through which all the students, irrespective of the caste, whose family income is not more than Rs 4.5 lakh per annum, would be benefitted  
 
Reacting on the scheme, Hardik Patel said that, the scheme is not going to benefit anyone, especially Patels. There is nothing new announced for the patels, it is just a modified form of old schemes, which is nothing but, bluffing the economically backward people.

Not stopping there, Hardik Patel even announced a ‘lollipop movement’ to protest against the government, saying that, the Gujarat government scheme was a lollipop to the Patel community.

Regarding this, Patel and his aides, decided to distribute the lollipops, to all the patels  in various villages and talukas of Gujarat state.

Meanwhile, in the recent court judgment, Hardik stated that, he will not start any movement till the next court hearing, which is on September 29th. Even, on behalf of Hardik, his lawyer BM Mangukia, had given an undertaking, before a division bench of justice MR Shah and justice KJ Thaker, stating that, no agitation or programme, call will be given by Hardik, until the next hearing.
 
But Hardik announcing ‘Lollipop movement’,  is now raising fresh controversy among the officials.   

Responding on the lollipop movement, Hardik Patel said, “None of our demands are cleared through the new scheme. So there is no wrong with us, to raise another movement. Until the scheme is modified and satisfies our demands, our agitation will neither stop or postpone.”  
 
It seems, Hardik Patel issue is getting viral day by day and till his demand to include the Patel community in BC caste, for availing the reservation quota under BC, all the government’s trails to cool down Hardik Patel movements might be in vain.
